To Market, To Market - Deuxième Partie

...continued from an earlier post...

...Although the Grand Marché has a greater selection of organic produce, it's only up and running three days a week.  So the other days, you'll find my in the petite marché buying my vegetables here...

...and they have the best eggs!  With deep golden-orange yolks - and they actually taste like eggs!

Always friendly and keeping with the seasons, you're likely to have to wait in line a bit to pay for your goods with these good folks...a sign that I'm not the only fan of this family business and its farm.

Yours in seasonal veggie paradise,
leslie

Leslie,

I love fresh produce and eggs. Years ago, when we were young and living in Milwaukee, WI, our landlord's grandmother raised chickens and had farm fresh eggs which we always purchased from her. They were the best eggs I've ever tasted! The yolks were HUGE!

I love this photo. The men look so happy!

The composition of this picture is just so delightful...I love the look on the faces of the 2 guys. Nothing like truly fresh veg.

Kris, Thanks! yes, my friends who have a lavender farm (and chickens along with it) always have the most *wonderful* eggs! She stores fresh eggs in a container with truffles that she gets from friends...all I can say is: omg. That brings an entirely new dimension to breakfast!

donna, je t'en pris, ma belle. what a sweet thing to say. de nada, farniente, you're welcome...mais merci, mille fois!

AL, why thank you, kind sir! I had to giggle when I saw the shot and the actual 'moment' it had captured: I love the expressions as well.
