Bon Dimanche!

'Tis the season for...

...mimosas in the marché aux fleurs and...

...king cakes in the boulangeries.

They brighten an otherwise dull January day.

Bon dimanche! (good Sunday)

Hi leslie,
What a nice surprise to receive your comment this morning. I enjoyed your blog so much and I am crazy about your images especially the black and whites. They are very dreamy and surreal. Looking forward to getting to know you better.

Char, Happy Sunday right back at you! Although we're in the final hours of that Sunday here, it was a lovely day...hope yours lands at its end just as gently.

leslie, your image of the snow-covered table this morning really struck me - black and white is definitely my first love in this passion of photography. Welcome to the table chez La Fourchette! I'll be tapping on your blog's door frequently - never know when I'll need a cup of sugar - or a lovely image for inspiration!

Kimberly, Wish you could have been there. The marché was washed in a soft golden light this morning...before clouds came in and stole our gold. (*And* there was a foire de brocantes this afternoon along the cours!) Hope the second week of the new year gets of to as good a start as the first week has!

Ciao,
Leslie

Hope Ave, Ah yes! A good boulangerie makes all the difference in a little French life. Even better when it's right out your door.
