More Brocantes

My goodness! I'm really off my game.  Yesterday was a 'Window on Provence' day and apparently my tête was dans la lune! (To have one's head in the moon is to say 'I spaced' in the vernacular of southern California.)

At any rate, today we continue our wander through Sunday's brocante fair, going from the sublime...

...where, if you look to the left of this image, you'll see how I feel about my little French life...errr...most of the time! (Le meilleur des mondes: The best of worlds.)  If you're a reader, do these books not just make you drool?  Perhaps one day I'll have to take you through the monthly antique book fair that happens in the Place de la Mairie.

But I digress...shall we continue?  To the ridiculous...

...and you know what they say...you have to kiss a lot of frogs...

Have a lovely day!

Ciao,
Leslie

that's ok....instead of staying indoors and looking thru "the window", we got to walk thru the streets, and feel the fresh spring air...nothing wrong with that....i was nibbling my favorite amandes crescent while i was walking....you know....the one from the shop across from your butcher....

HA, HA, HA, that frog is really something!

I love to read and those book are gorgeous. They would make a perfect addition to my library. Now... if I could only read french. Oui, please do take us through the monthly antique book fair.

Leslie, how did a California girl like yourself end up in Provence?

Oh do take us to the antique book fair! I only wish I'd known about it during the month I spent near Aix.

donna, I know exactly what boulangerie/patisserie you mean! I think it's a Poulain...or something like that...I'll have to take a peek and confirm. I've not tried their almond croissants...but now I will!

Kris, I know - he's adorable, non? I'm with you on those books. I've a signed copy of Lawrence Durrell's Justine, all wrapped in rich leather and embossed in gold. A treasure. How did this California girl end up in Provence?! There's a story in that...and I'm in the process of tapping out page after page to tell it...

Ciao,
Leslie
