Wednesday Window on Provence

Whew!  Moved!

With a little help from a couple of strong local fellows...

...we managed to move the boxes...

...and all the orchids...

...and pry Bodhi from his favorite sun spot...

...clean up the old place...

...and land here...

...whew!  This has been intense.  More later but I just wanted to check in and say hello and that I'm back!  Still unpacking and finding where everything lives in the new place...but I'm back.

Thanks so much for hanging in there during the flu-y pause followed immediately by a move.  (She adds a little curtsy and a head bow to her thank you.)

À bientôt!  (See you soon!)
Leslie

Welcome back! Moving is stressful and that plus the flu must have been extremely difficult!

Love the photo of the marble men!

Madame LER (Bodhi's Person), Well, clearly this ordeal you have not lost your charm. We in Del Mar are glad to hear you are settling in!!! Hopefully, Bodhi will have a new favorite view and sun spot, once things clear for him.

Cheers,
Bubba's Person

Provence.

*Sigh*

The last time I was there was over a decade ago and I stayed in Le Castellet.

laura, thanks! It was intense...I'll say that. Glad you liked the guardians of the Tribunal. Amazing the stuff that lives around here, non?

leslie, thanks for another warm welcome. I'm feeling much better, thanks. I thought I'd give you a hint at the new digs...I promise a tour when the boxes are unpacked and the place is less maze-like.

Deborah, you know these guys, too?! As to your hopes: that is exactly what I was doing before I checked in on comments. As they say...'great minds'...

Bubba's Person, those pics of Bodhi were for you! I know you've made the request for more of Bodhi...it's a start! He loved that spot of sunshine...he'll find a new one in the new nest.

Mandy's Kidding, Ahhhh...so you know our lovely Provence! I can tell by your *Sigh*. You can always stop in at La Fourchette for a little 'pause en Provence'!

Thanks to all for stopping in to say hello...and to all who just quietly stopped in.

Ciao,
Leslie

glad to see you are able to check in with the world....have missed that little happy view of "aix" in the morning!....i understand that moving thing...am still dealing with boxes from our remodel last summer!

donna, thanks! The maze of boxes has diminished considerably since a couple of days ago...still quite a bit to do to clear some spaces currently being occupied by all of the 'thisses and thats' that simply got put down in a spot in the process. But each inch is precious here so I'm eager to get this stuff cleared out! To that end, it's back to work for me. Thanks for stopping in to say hello!

Bon dimanche,
Leslie

I am sure you're loving your new place, as I can sense I lot of positivity in your posts.

Speak to you soon.

All the best!

Bartek, what a nice surprise! As to 'back very intensively'...there was a bit of a hiccup in that little momentum but I'll get back to it! And yes - *loving* the new place - as you can imagine. I hope you'll stop in often. It's great to 'see' you! (Are you still blogging? Send me the link. I'd love to see it!)

My very best to you and Aneta!

Oh, my I can commiserate about the boxes: I've spent the last week boxing up things in my Mom's house. On the whole, I'd rather be doing most anything else. I hope by now you're feeling much improved, and also have your new place looking more like home. How is Bodhi dealing with a complete change of scene?

la fourchette said...

Emily, yes, that was pretty much my experience as well. I wanted to be doing anything else while boxing stuff up - and on occasion, I submitted and *did* do something else. The unpacking is another story altogether. I'm like the energizer bunny and the place should be in shape by today. Bodhi thanks you ('weuff' - he has a French accent) for asking after his adjustment. He's finding his new spots and adjusting to new sounds and bumps in the night. All in all, he's doing really well in this transition.

À bientôt!

Best of luck with settling in! Beautiful orchid by the way :-)

Sara Louise, thanks! There are six of those orchids in all. They seem to have made the transition and found a new spot in which to thrive. I they're happy and Bodhi's happy - all's right with the world.

Ciao,
Leslie
