I'm going to a charity event for children with cancer. This same event I went to a year ago when I was pregnant with my daughter and bawled like a baby myself. I'll probably do so again. Then I'll go home and hug my children real hard.
I think you have a real eye for photos!!! Maybe you ought to be a professional (photographer):) Glad your skies cleared and brought you the sun so you could cafe sit. This morning we have a reasonably heavy rain, had an appt at Starbucks on the corner, and then the sun came out here too. Have a great weekend. Here, it is a UC holiday - Ceasar Chavez holiday.
Mandy's Kidding, very cool. Very cool. Not that you bawled like a baby, of course, or that you might again...well...you know what I mean. Hugs all around at the end of the day.
BP, thank you! We should have just enough time for the trees to put on a short show before another spring storm blows in and slams all the blossoms to the ground - where they can be equally stunning! Enjoy your holiday!
going to the Getty with my sis and 19 year old niece....she has never been there....and she requested it!...i am happiest when i am surrounded by works of art....O.K. change that....works of art, and tennis players........
donna, brava! A girls' day out at the Getty...I love the Getty. (And listen to you keepin' it real, girlfriend: 'works of art ... and tennis players'! Made me giggle!)
“Leslie landed in the lavender and olives of Provence in 2004...fork in hand...” so began La Fourchette in 2006. Fast-forward to this moment...with survival issues managed (every ex-pat knows what I'm talking about!), I return to the original passion that brought me to France: photography.
A quote from Wynn Bullock (20th century photographer) comes to mind as I define myself as a photographer:
"At 42, I decided to become a photographer because it offered a means of creative thought and action. I didn't rationalize this, I just felt it intuitively and followed my intuition, which I have never regretted."
Shortly after I began following my passion and traveling to France to shoot photographs, Façonnable picked them up for their US market. A card line was featured at Nordstrom and small French-themed boutiques throughout the US.
Now, in the golden wash of light that is the south of France, I continue my psychotherapy practice and passion for photography.

I love that phrase, "bruised sky."
