Wednesday Window on Provence

Cezanne is believed to have created more than 60 paintings of the mountain that overlooks our fair ville:  Ste. Victoire.

My favorite subject is this fountain at my favorite little place.  I've not hit the 60 marker quite yet, but I'm working on it.

Leslie,

The fountain is beautiful. I can imagine going to this place and sitting in front of this fountain, listening to the water fall. At my age, I might even doze off. HAHA

Happy Day!

Timeless and lovely. And so is Mont St-Victoire - always difficult to take your eyes off it, even when in the car.

donna, this fountain is at the Place des Trois Ormeaux in the quartier that is near the Palais de Justice. Hmmmm...wonder if it might not serve the greater good to view each of those *years* as a work of art?

Kris, I could hear this fountain from my old apartment. In the new digs, if the wind is just right, I can still hear its water music.

Deborah, Ste. Victoire always makes me catch my breath - no matter how many times I see it. I found a new sense of grounding (no, not intended) in this mountain as I got settled in Aix - away from the ocean for the first time in my life.

Leslie
