Knock, knock!

Anybody there?!

Oh my.  Did I say "See you in mid-July!"?  I really meant mid-October

No I didn't.

I really did mean July because I'm quite the optimist and I thought I could keep up with the pace of things...but clearly...I did not.

What I did do is have a really wonderful summer filled with...

...fun in many forms...

...chilled rosé to cool down the temps (which were mild, let me tell you!)...

...the blessings of daily bread...

...several good books...

...a really lovely wander through corsica...

...a float down the river Sorgues...

...and a time to muse about "la fourchette de la route"*...

So if you're still out there...and you'd like to take a peek into this little French life, then we can simply put one foot in front of the other and see where we go together.

I'm going to take a break from the kitchen but will share a photo a day and catch you up as we go along.

One of my projects is to get these cards up and selling as I know many of you have been patiently waiting for that little shop to open.  I'm not very adept at building pages in which selling and such must go on.  I'm working on it though, and if I can't get it going in a reasonable time frame (read that to mean "a couple of weeks"), I'm going to turn to a pro to get it done.  So keep your fingers crossed and I'll keep you posted.

I hope your summer was fabulous in equal measure and that you are finding the autumn to be as gentle a transition as it is in these parts.  Absolutely lovely!

Thanks for being there...et à bientôt!

Ciao,
leslie

Hmmmm............

And what time do you call this, young lady!

You said you be back by mid-July and DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS NOW?

I would say you're grounded but i have a horrible feeling that you'll just sneak out again!

Anyway, it's nice to see you back - did you have a great time on your travels?

All the best

Keith

Leslie,

I had all but given up on you! I started wondering if something had happened. I'm glad to know that all is well and that you had a terrific summer.

You were missed and that goes without saying. I'm glad you are back and I'm looking forward to your photos and all the little tidbits you want to share.

It was a terribly hot summer here in Dallas...M-I-S-E-R-A-B-L-E and I am very grateful for cooler temperatures which are due to arrive here starting tonight! YAY!

Touched beyond words for the warm welcome! Merci à tous!

Laura, merci...et encore!

Keith, did you write that comment while drumming your fingers and tapping your foot?! It came right through! Thank you...for your warm (and humorous) welcome back and your very thoughtful message during the hiatus.

donna, oh, how sweet! Thank you! (new photo? you look great!)

Kris, what a lovely message. Thank you! I'm glad to hear your heat has broken. I saw that you all were a little toasty down there this summer.

Caroline, Thank you...and thank you again!

Oh my goodness. I'm such a softie! Your comments made a little catch in my throat. Thank you for all still being there.

How lucky am I?!? (Very lucky.)

ciao,
leslie
