Café Allongé
The literal translation of café allongé is "elongated coffee"; a café order made by anyone who prefers a softer kick and thus, their espresso watered down a bit.
For today, café allongé refers to extending our Paris café sitting with one more stop - extending the visit that began at lunch yesterday. I just wasn't ready to leave yet. How about you?
Grab a good book. Let's find a table near this Woody Allen-looking fellow and enjoy the rest of the day right here.
Ciao,

Leslie,
This sounds good to me. That would be a perfect day for me.
Kris
Ohhhh....i could Paris cafe sit all day.....everyday...(give you a little hint into my personality?)......so nice to wake up and hit the bookmark for your blog....and there's no "and she's off"......you are my sanity (wow that's a huge responsibility, huh?).... until i return to Aix
Kris, café sitting is always 'perfect'...no matter where.
donna, me too...(see above!) thanks for the sweet words...'sanity'! whoa, grasshopper...that's a mighty tall order! ;} you're on your own for that one...but I'm quite pleased to bring you closer to Aix and Paris and that lovely shared dream that is France.
Nice to share a chat at the café with you two today...and a petit bonjour to all the others who stopped in for spell - perhaps to read...perhaps to people-watch. Lovely to see you all.
Ciao,

ok....i over exaggerate occasionally ; ) you're just PART of my sanity.......see........now that feels better doesn't it!
donna, hah! made me laugh! as one who is occasionally prone to go for dramatic effect, i recognized the style. ;} more than happy to be any part of anything close to sanity...not to mention a day-opener across the pond!
bonne nuit à tous!
