curious.....what's on your reading table.....i just finished "remarkable creatures" by tracy chevalier, for fun reading "juliet" by anne fortier (i seem to be on a juliet kick lately)....in the wings is "the snow child" by eowyn ivey....and always on the table is a pema chodren book or two (i love her book "comfortable with uncertainty").....
vicki archer, merci beaucoup! And bienvenue! We share a blog-amie in Trish...what a nice connection.
Kris, ahhh yes. I do that with my books in English and save my French reading for before I go to sleep...hoping it will sink in that way.
donna, you might like the Josephine trilogy about Napolean Bonaparte's wife written in journal entry style. (by Sandra Gulland) I'm currently finishing La Femme du Veme in French and in English I always have a Pema Chödron going...just now The Places That Scare You. I'm just finishing Malcolm Gladwell's What The Dog Saw and will be starting in on Man Ray's Montparnasse tout de suite. I'm making a note of the ones you mentioned...always good to keep a list of potential reads!
“Leslie landed in the lavender and olives of Provence in 2004...fork in hand...” so began La Fourchette in 2006. Fast-forward to this moment...with survival issues managed (every ex-pat knows what I'm talking about!), I returned to my metier of psychotherapy and La Fourchette took a back seat...but it was a wonderful ride!

Adorable! Love your photographs Leslie... I have come via Trish... xv
I've been doing a lot of that lately too. I love to read and there is nothing better than to sit with a good book and a cup of your favorite beverage.
