Whew! I can run my errands today sans mes gants! Actually, without the double gloves I've been wearing for days. Just one pair wasn't cutting it against the cutting cold that slammed into town thanks to a vicious Mistral.
But today as I zipped through the marché, I spied some very welcome signs of Spring...
Yours in anticipation of 'springs' ahead...

Lovely! They're cyclamens, yes? I've heard about those Mistral winds, don't sound like fun.
I can never remember....gloxinia? They were in every florist shop in Paris. Spring in the midst of winter. Lovely.

I think February can be a gray dismal month and the only thing that keeps me motivated is that spring is on it's way! Lovely photo!
Glad you don't have to wear extra gloves today!
Having a hint of spring just around the corner is always a time filled with such excitement and anticipation. Hopefully there won't be too much of a sting in the tail before it truly warms up. Lovely cyclamens Leslie.
déjà pseu, thank you...she says with a curtsy. And no, the Mistral is no fun at all...they tend to swing through in cycles of one, three, five or nine days...something like that. I'm always hoping for just one!
Virginia, cyclamen...our winter color in these parts - and yes! Paris, too...as you well-know! I love them. I'm going to get a few for my petit balcon to see me through the rest of the winter. (And thanks!)
Kris, Thank you! Today was even more mild and I was able to wear my bright pink lighter leather gloves...it's a start!
AL, Man, if we could only bottle this lovely anticipation! I like that: 'sting in the tail'...I've had about all the sting I can take for one winter...and it was all in two weeks! (and thanks...also offered up with a curtsy.)
