Wednesday Window on Provence

This was actually planned for yesterday but somehow the day flew by and here we are at Wednesday!  How does that happen?!

I thought it would be fun to introduce the "Mardi Meteo" (Tuesday Weather) and since I'm the queen of this blog, I can declare Wednesday as the day to introduce something that will be taking place on Tuesday henceforth.

Here in Aix yesterday, the weather was cloudy with a chance of...

...stripes!

Take a peek at that grey bank to the east (center of the image).  I was expecting a wallop, but it never showed up.  Today we have bright sunshine and mild temps expected:  17ºC (62ºF)  Lovely!  Especially since I have to go to Marseille for the next step in the passport saga.  (Remind me to tell you about how that's shaking down.)

Inspired by the readers who chimed in last week with their own serendipitous weather reports, let's see how many corners of the world we can check in with today!  What's happening in your 'hood?

Ciao,
Leslie

ps:  I'll take any good thoughts sent in this direction for a smooth process at the American Consulate this morning.  Fingers crossed.

Cloudy and mild in Kent, Your Meteo Majesty.

Good luck with the passport - can't believe it still hasn't been resolved!

I hope in two and a half weeks the weather will be much better, because I' ll go to Provence!

The weather in Frankonia today is sunny and just right to go into the garden!

Salut!

well as usual......we tend to skip the spring part here in SoCal and we do the spring/summer thing....which means that the temps went from the late 50's last week to 80 today, and 86 tomorrow......basking in the sun! (liking this weather thing you're doing!)

Deborah, 'Your Meteo Majesty'! LOL You *do* have a way with words!

Franka, two and a half weeks, huh? Check in here on Tuesdays between now and then to see how things unfold. So far, it's looking promising. Today sparkled!

donna, wow! Santa Ana brewing? Are the sweet peas getting ready to put on a colorful show? (My birthday flower and there were always runners and runners of them for the end of April bouquets!) And thanks! I like this idea, as well. See you same place next Tuesday...if not before!

Sweet dreams to all (at least that fits here where it is now 11p)

Madame LER,

Speaking about "weather" it will help us all to know that we have been having major solar storms for the past 4-6 weeks and it may well continue for many more months and continue to keep us all feeling extra stressed. These are supposed to be the most severe and powerful for the last 40-50 yrs. So that is a note on the worldly weather to come. Hopefully we have sunny days too.

BTW, did I tell you that you left your passport here the last time you visited? (lol) Of course not. How could you have gotten home. Good luck with that saga, and please do keep us informed. It only gets more interesting. Good luck.

Char, the reason you can't quite imagine not having that passport yet is because .... you don't live in France. I've come to accept being made wrong when I'm right, a request that should take a day taking weeks, and that funny shrug when it simply doesn't happen. *And* I love this place. Not for that, mind you...but I do.

Mary, thanks! Sending sunny wishes back to you...all the way to Miami.

BP, thank you for sharing that detail. That explains some of this, doesn't it?! The saga did get a bit more interesting. At least you should all know how it turned out. I promise I'll share. In the meantime, I have to go see how it ends today!

Thanks to all for joining the weather report for this week. I thought that was fun. Let's do it again next week!

Ciao,
Leslie

Leslie, Your Royal Meteo Majesty,

In Houston, we have had spring like weather for about a month. Last week it was in the 80's most of the week. This week we had a cool front (I love how they describe "cool" fronts here) 50's at night and mid 70's during the day with sun and very few clouds. I grew up in the Midwest where spring never came until May and you couldn't plant any flowers until after Mother's Day because of potential freezes. So, I will take Texas weather instead of the cold, rainy springs of the Midwest any day!

Since I just started reading your blog, I am not familiar with your problems with your passport BUT I can only imagine the being wrong when you are right and the quiet shrugs. HA

Hope you are having a good week.

Kris
